The Cycle of Growth

Steve Moon, our very first Trades Talk member, tells us about the cycles of growth in life and business and shares what he has learned from each event he attended.

Growing Together

After completing the Proving Grounds, Jessie and Kirsten talk to us about their motivation to attend this event. They wanted to get on the same page and grow together.

Jessie is in the early years of running his HVAC business, and Kirsten works a very different job. Despite those differences at work, they are each other's primary team mates when it comes to taking care of their family.

In this video, they explain why this event helped them get on the same page and evolve their team dynamic to support two very different careers and a growing family!

The Greatest Lesson I've Ever Learned

Rob was facing many challenges in his life leading up to the Trades Talk October event. He was struggling to overcome his alcoholism, struggling with his faith, his business, and trying to navigate his family life through an impending divorce. Through the course of this event, Rob learned the skills he needed to overcome these challenges and turn his life around. In times of trouble, it is important for all of us to have a supportive community around us who will love us unconditionally and help us down the path toward a better future. In Rob's own words, "this was the greatest lesson I've ever learned." Watch the video to hear his insights and reflection on everything he learned from training with Trades Talk and 3 of 7 project.

Another Level of Accountability

Chris had a big team of managers at his home service company, but he needed something to teach them accountability and get everyone on the same page. That's why he brought them to our Proving Grounds event. Click this to hear what he has to say.

The Best Lesson for my Son

Sometimes the best way to teach your kids is putting them in challenging situations and modeling winning behavior for them to follow. This is exactly what Steve did to teach his son Dylan how to handle the challenges of life.

Aligning the Team

Eric brought his right hand manager to the Proving Grounds where they learned to delegate tasks and support each other as their team works through big challenges.

Leaders Must Do Hard S#!%

Brian tells us why it's important for leaders to do difficult things - and how the skills they learn from those experiences sharpen us as leaders.

Leaders Breed Leaders

Cam is Steven's nephew and an up and coming leader in Addario's Services. So the question with Cam was, "how do we take a great technician and turn him into a team leader?" The answer was simple... we expose Cam and the next generation of leaders to challenging events and circumstances where they can face adversity and grow as a leader of themselves and others.

Building an Unstoppable Team

Costas came to the Rite of Passage course to grow as a leader, but he also brought his employee Jaren - who has been a loyal and reliable employee. Costas saw the potential in this employee and realized he could use this event as a catalyst to build up the leaders in his company, which is just as important as building up himself.

Decisions & Consequences

When you lead a team of people, your decisions have consequences for everyone you lead. Whether you are leading a business, a family, or a small team of people - they will follow you to success or failure - based on where you are leading yourself. Lenny learned this lesson the hard way when he decided to not finish this event. His son and his team followed him in his decision to stop, and he regretted the consequences of his actions. Watch this video to learn a powerful lesson about leadership and hear the impact it had on his team.

Putting Yourself First

What do you get when a husband and wife team take on our hardest event together? You get inspiring growth and the realization that you have to put your personal growth first in order to grow others.

Preparing The Next Generation

Seb, who was about to start his first year of college, tells us about the mental fortitude he's been learning through the course of the Rite of Passage event.
